B i o g r a p h y

October Crifasi (krih-FAH-see) is a musician, writer, and producer with over twenty-five years of experience performing and coaching nationwide. She spent several years on the faculty at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago and as a guitar and performance coach for projects on the Great American Country Channel (GAC), MTV, and Lifetime Networks. 

She is the founder and former director of the Girls Guitar School program in Los Angeles. GGS provided music education, mentorship, and performance opportunities for girls of all ages throughout the Los Angeles area from 2002-2018.  Highlights from the program's tenure include students' appearances with halsey for the Billboard Music Awards, mentorship with Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde and Terry De Castro of The Wedding Present, and ensemble performance opportunities opening for artists like Exene Cervenka of X.

October is also a former columnist and feature writer for Acoustic Guitar and Classical Guitar magazines and a former scribe for Strymon Engineering. 

October currently leads a parallel life as an award-winning audiobook director for Penguin Random House Audio.
